For generations Mandahl Bay in St. Thomas, USVI has been a beloved destination for families, fishermen, scuba divers, eco-tourists, and locals alike. Major natural attractions include the mangrove ringed lagoon, rich marine life and birds including many endangered species, and some of the most breathtaking unspoiled coral reefs in the world.
Unless stopped, an encroaching development known as The Port of Mandahl will replace these wetlands and reefs with a fully developed marina including up to 110 slips and moorings, condos, a 300 room Hyatt Regency hotel with an artificially enhanced beach, timeshare units, a shopping mall, fueling depot and sewage treatment plant. And one of the last green areas in St. Thomas will disappear forever.
Our mission is not just about saving the environment. It’s about saving the ocean, the coral reefs, and the beautiful endangered species that cannot fight for themselves. Ultimately, it’s about saving something for our children and yours and for generations to come.
We share the following video for all who love this special place, and those who have yet to experience its beauty.
